Howdy,
I subscribe to all of my posts with instant email notification, but I have never been informed that anyone has replied to them, despite receiving many replies, and nothing is going into my SPAM folder.
Is this functionality broken?

Well, I just subbed to this thread, reply and I’ll tell you if I got a notification.
Hmmm. I’ve check everything. My email address is correct, so maybe there is a some voodoo with my account or email.
