Egyptian-Inspired Project

Hello everyone! This is my second time posting on the Unreal forums, ready to share my next game art project! This time, it’s gonna be inspired by egyptian architecture, specifically a temple for the god Anubis. Below you can find the first concepts for it So far all I have is the blocking, the board of references, and inspirations for it. I’m gonna keep updating this weekly, so please look forward to it!

Hello everyone! Here’s the second update to my project. Things are moving on smoothly so far, I sculpted the rocks on Zbrush and managed to bake them with the high poly as normal textures, giving tillable textures to them. I also updated the blocking and added an entrance, alongside palm trees. I hope you like it!

UPDATE 3:

Good evening! Here’s my third update to my project thus far. I had to update my scene and use giant rocks from FAB rather than my own because I didn’t enjoy their previous appearance, and didn’t look realistic enough. Additionally to expanding the scope of my scene in order to make it more grandiose, I’ve also added better and well-rendered palm trees around the Temple, alongside giant obelisks near the big Anubis statues in order to draw more attention to it. I’ve also managed to sculpt the pools around the temple.

I hope you all like it!

@BadLady03 Just saw your post and your work is coming along very nicely. Love to see a video walkthrough. What kind of game are you making ?

Hi there! To answer your question, it won’t be a game, this is a university project where we need to create our own scene in Unreal, and I chose an Egyptian environment to base myself off of

Speaking of which, here’s the weekly update! It’s my forth upgrade of the project thus far. Made a lot of advancements on the smaller assets by texturizing them in Substance Painter, alongside adding the tillable textures to the bigger assets. I found enjoyment in doing the former the most since it deals more with the creative aspect of it rather than problem-solving within Unreal, which in my opinion can become pretty bothersome. I hope you like it!

Your work looks amazing and I am little bit jealous that you can create this and you make it sound so easy. Your skills/knowledge is far better than mine but I will catch up to you :joy:
I cannot wait to see this when you complete it. Good luck with the project and have a nice day.
