Educator Livestream - Navigating Large Codebases Instructors Guide with Marc Olano - August 28

WHAT

On this week’s stream we are honored to welcome Marc Olano, Associate Professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and author of the brand-new, free, open-source, Epic Instructors Guide, Navigating Large Codebases.

Navigating Large Codebases is a set of open-source lectures, assignments and project files offered free of charge to all educators that guides students from creating simple materials and Blueprints in the Editor all the way to implementing their own shader code directly into the engine using C++ and HLSL.

Marc joins us to discuss the guide and demonstrate some of the lessons included. In addition we will have the opportunity to discuss his past, present and future research and projects including his time at Epic Games developing some of the features of Unreal Engine you use every day.
