So I haven’t used the engine in about 2 - 3 months and after installing 4.8 the editor is quite laggy and makes using it a real pain.
Im running on a Nvidia 550Ti which I know is quite dated now but it was running fine in 4.7.
Is this a known issue/ bug or will is my card finally too old to run the engine properly?
Thanks.

Do you have the latest drivers installed for your card?
I actually noticed the opposite and got a performance increase when I moved up to 4.8 from 4.7.

Yeah everything is up to date, although i have noticed the fans are not speeding up on with UE4 like they do with games.
Is there a setting between cpu and gpu for unreal?

I have reinstalled the engine, updated any drivers that were out of date and am still having this problem, anyone know if it could be related to EVGA?

SOLVED:
EVGA was running and causing the editor to lag but only when 2 editor windows were open (common for duel screen use). Having all windows docked it seemed to run fine but as soon as I dragged one onto my other monitor it started lagging.
Closing EVGA crashed the engine but after a restart the lag is gone and everything is running fine.
