Does anyone have an idea why my Unreal Editor is constantly getting brighter and darker? Its glitching and sometimes it even goes completely black. Like in the video and sometimes it goes completely black
Could it be auto exposure going crazy inside of your post processing volume? Try setting it to manual and set the min and max to 1 and see if it changes.
It seems like it also affects the editor. @3dRaven do you remember my first ever question on the forum? Maybe there’s something similar. I also wanna use this topic as an excuse to thank you for being the first ever person to help me with my first question After your help, I wanned to give back to the community so you were my reason to start answering people’s questions!
@HUMEYStudios, what GPU you have?
Keen eye @VisAgilis. I forgot it’s inside of the editor
In most cases a GPU driver reinstall or rollback to a previous version of the driver can help (newer doesn’t always mean better)
I’ve also seen similar stuff on forums regarding the denoiser causing some glitching that can be fixed with the cvar r.Shadow.Denoiser 0
You can also try temporarily disabling lumen and see if things change.
Try to narrow down where the flickering is occurring.
Though seeing that the interface is also changing brightness it looks like a gamma setting is changing for your gpu (some program is trying to override unreals gamma settings).
Do you have any external overlay maybe in an nvidia app turned on?
If so try seting in-game overlay to off (in the screenshot it’s on)
it should turn to grey / white
I have a RTX 4080
It was the NVIDIA overlay that did it Thank you so much!
