Editor & Game startup map update bug

Hey guys, Not a major bug but sometime still to look at. If you rename map that you are currently in and its set as a “Game Default Map” or “Editor Startup Map”, it will not reflect new name change on next time you run game or editor.

Project Settings-> Maps & Modes → Game Default Map || Editor Startup Map

It will load up a new blank map on restart.

I’m using 4.6 launcher engine.

Thanks for report! I was able to reproduce this issue (both for renaming and for moving maps) and have entered a bug report (UE-6286) for developers to look over. I’ll let you know when I see an update. Luckily, Game Default Map and Editor Startup Map settings display red text when it can’t find referenced map, so users can see that’s what is causing problem, and for now will simply have to repoint setting to correct map name and location. Thanks again!

I have provided a link to public tracker for future users visiting this page. A possible workaround would be to change default map in editor preferences after renaming level, but before exiting editor. I hope that this information helps.
