It’s fine. We all make mistakes and yes sir I have. I just monitored my RAM in an old project. UE4 was using an average of 950 MB of RAM and it never reached a GB. Also, it didn’t go over 50% of consumption. It hung around at an average 48% RAM usage; however my CPU did something quite interesting that I haven’t witnessed myself. It averaged around 53% and sometimes jumped up to 59%. The editor hung up for a second and the CPU numbers dropped to around 13% and then shot back up once the editor was responsive again. Now if I remember correctly, I heard that a CPU can cause hang ups on games and I’m sure this applies to UE4 also, but the numbers have to be pretty high for that to happen. Aside from the two moments it hung up, the editor never froze up entirely. It’s still responsive.
