We are using a blueprint project and since updating to 4.3 (and later) we have been unable to build a .exe file out from the engine.
The error message is “MainFrameActions: Packaging (Windows (32-bit)): RunUAT.bat ERROR: AutomationTool was unable to run successfully.”
I have attached the log for reference.
Can you paste C:\Users\gd36james\AppData\Roaming\Unreal Engine\AutomationTool\Logs\C+Program+Files+Unreal+Engine+4.3\Cook.txt ? Thanks!
That file actually doesn’t exist. The only file in that folder is the one I attached
Hey, is there anyway you could dumb that down for me? I’m actually a level designer and that went way over my head.
No, updating to 4.4 didn’t work. Although it looks like it was an issues with something in that project. In the end the team created a brand new 4.2 project and copied across all assets and now it builds perfectly.
Have you had better luck with 4.4?
