Hi,
I just installed Unreal Engine yesterday and cranked through a tutorial using blueprints. Today I wanted to try out a c++ project, but it’s been crashing a lot.
I made the project from the blank template, c++, maximum quality, raytracing enabled, desktop, no starter content. The project always loads up just fine, no errors.
When I’m in the editor, a couple of things can cause the program to crash, but none of them consistently. Sometimes, this stuff works just fine! Here’s what’s been causing crashes:
-Simply right-clicking on something in the World Outliner or Content Browser
-Trying to open a blueprint editor
-Trying to open code in visual studio
No matter what caused the crash, it always gives the same error:
Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x00000020

Does anybody know what might cause this or how I can fix it? It happens so often that the editor isn’t really useable.
