First of all thanks a lot for that wonderful Editor. It’s really cool, although I’m experiencing a lot of crashes. Here’s explanation :
I’m working on a level. first minutes, it’s ok. Then, editor experiences some slows for every operation i’m making (scaling, moving, etc., everything has a 1 to 2 and even 3 seconds latency). Then, suddenly, editor crashes to desktop.
I’m on an Alienware with core i7 / 8 GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 660. It’s not a monster, but it shouldn’t behave like that, whatever.
I’m joining my logs from Project / level that keeps crashing.
I’m getting this problem too.
I found when I used spline tool, it eats up allot of my memory.
And using Terrain tool makes it lock up after awhile because of switching from terrain editor and content browser.
And another problem is that it doesn’t open last recent map I’ve been working on. It just keeps loading example map.
Please create a new post with your information. We’d like a full description of what you’re experiencing as well as your dxdiag and crash logs and dump files. You can see what information we like to have and how to find it here:
Have you tested this issue in most current engine version (4.6.0)? If issue is still present, please provide an updated dxdiag, Crash Log, and Dmp files and we will try to help you find a solution.
We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so we are marking this post as resolved for tracking purposes. If you’re still experiencing this issue, please feel free to post back here with additional information I requested above.
I’m having this problem in 2017, with engine 4.14.3. editor crashes even if i’m doing nothing. After a few minutes, it just crashes, oftem when I’m just switching windows. hint I got from this post is constants:
landscape, 3 of them, each in a separate streamed level.
splines for a rive and for a few trees (like, 10 pine trees)
Could you create a new report in Bug Report section? This post is from many version ago and even though it may seem similar, it is likely a completely different cause.
Make sure to include as much info as possible (Callstack, crash logs, exact repro steps, test project, etc.) Feel free to include a link to this post as reference as well.

I had same issues still since first time I launched Unreal Editor, and nothing never helped. I lost faith and do not use UEditor anymore since then. So even if it is from many versions ago, problem may be same.
