i’m using ue 4.7.1 and blender 2.73a with it’s internal fbx exporter 7.4 binary.
In an attempt to get rid of weird looking skeletalmesh i’ve imported the mesh by mistake 100x larger.
Although it was way too big, it didn’t have those artifacts anymore.

I’ve not been able to reproduce this on any of the assets I have access to. Would you mind sharing an asset that does this or the fbx pictured? You can post privately by sending me a link via the forums or post here if you don’t mind.
I’ve seen this before, ages ago though, but from what I remember this wasn’t a bug with the engine but rather something with scaling the asset to that extent. Honestly can’t remember all the details, but would be glad to look into it.
