Hi everybody, I just downloaded the free version of UE4 last night and am playing around with it now. The first thing that impressed me was the templates and how easy it was to get something that was at least functional made.
Here’s my question: Eventually (one day…possibly…I hope) I want to make a cover-based shooter, but looking online it seems like there’s no easy way to implement a cover system (Even Epic itself apparently had to hack their own engine to get the cover system in Gears of War working, from what I hear). But I’d love to be wrong, so if any of you know of a relatively simple way to get a GOW-style cover system working, I feel like that would be a good starting point. Thanks in advance!
