Easier way to paint Landscape

Hello ,

I think that painting terrain should be as easy as sculpting it , you just create the landscape , drag and drop the materials/textures and you start painting , this would be easier and time saving.

For example , the terrain painter that Unity 3D uses…

I don’t understand why painting a simple terrain has to be so much more complicated than it should. I would like to see the terrain painting system redone.
