EAC messes with my choice of input method.

Hi,

First of all, it is near impossible to reach out to your team through any means which is kind of bad.

I have an issue with games that use EAC; and I have reached out to the respective devs who are unable to solve the issue as it seems to be purely baked into EAC.

Currently the issue happens in the following games, but this is certainly not the definitive list of games it is a problem in the following list where I have encountered this exact issue:
Fortnite, Dead by Daylight, Sea of Thieves, Star Citizen.

I am #TrackpadGamer. Suggesting me to buy a normal mouse is not an option.

As a gamer who has been playing games on laptops for over 20 years or so; I have become really (really) good at playing shooters on trackpads.

Now that I no longer own a laptop I have decided to buy a USB-connected Precision-Trackpad that exclusively uses Windows built in PnP-Drivers to work. The manufacturer does not make any trackpad drivers for their hardware as it’s simply a precision touch surface + 3 separate buttons (for right, middle and left mouse button respectively)

The problem is as follows: When I press any mouse button (even if I macro a mouse-button input to a keyboard key) my precision-touch input pauses for 1,5 or 2 seconds making it impossible to adjust my aim after shooting/interacting with anything in a game that uses the mouse button to interact with.
The one thing that all games I encounter this in have in common is that they use EAC; so through deduction I have concluded that EAC somehow recognizes the mouse button inputs and simultaneous touch-pad swiping to be some kind of macro; and will not allow me to use it at the same time.

This means that in shooters I can not trace my targets with the trackpad-touch input.

While this is an issue with my precision trackpad, it is NOT an issue with a non-precision trackpad. The only issue there is that non-precision trackpads skip pixels when swiping, meaning the farther my target to track is; the less accurate I am able to track them across my screen.

The devs of these games can’t seem to solve the issue as it’s baked into EAC.

Please fix this devs. I will not buy a normal mouse ever as it would require me to re-learn the input of a normal mouse + I’d need desk space to operate my PC (specifically for these games)

This used to not be a problem until about 2 years ago or so; which is when this issue started to appear in more and more games as they updated their EAC builds that their games install alongside with.
