e57 point limit?

Hi,

I am working on a file with 140mio points. I export my pts file to e57 with cloud compare but the e57 file cannot be imported into rc. However when I reduce the points to 70mio and import again it works. Is there a limit to the amount of points i can import? Or is there a bug that prevents the loading. This is not such a huge file but to only be able to load 50% into rc is way too much signal loss for my taste.

Hello dear user, 
one big file full of points may cause issues, we recommend you to export each scanning position as a separate file, also rather PTX than e57. I cannot directly tell any limitation there but that is not a recommended technique so please use this advice.
