I have had a look around and can’t see a thread on this. Was just wondering if/when full E57 import will be in RC the colored scan data comes in fine but non of the images. I’m sure all the info for the images are in the file. Seems a waste to ignore all this rich data, and would certainly help with the alignments.
+100 E57 with full panorama images from Recap, Faro, and Cyclone.
The E57s from Recap encode the full panorama images and have also points where there is no 3D info from the scanner.
Cyclone can encode panorama images as images2D tags in the E57.
Both modes should be supported.
Currently the images from E57 have a lot of gaps (interpolated colors) where there was no scan data, as well as black lines on top of the scan frequently (when exporting them as undistorted images). The areas where there was no scan data are particularly important for texturing.
