Hello!
For a cinematic, I am trying to create an ice material that procedurally spreads from any point on the model. I have tried tutorials online but most materials transition from top to bottom or side to side. I wish to add a spot (dynamically) and have the ice material spread from there. This can be the a hand, a foot or from a spot on the back.
Preferably I also wish to add a mask to this material that creates a gap in the spreading. Imagine ice spreads from the upper leg to the foot but the knee does not show the spreading material. I also wish to place these area’s dynamically but I figured, I could apply a mask and paint the area’s I wish to be exempt from the procedural material.
I have seen it being done in Blender but I am unsure how to tackle this in Unreal.
