Is anyone working on developing an android app that would allow someone to open multiple dwg files that all have the exact same reference point, to create a walk-through environment? Something that can be taken out to a construction site to make sure that things are being built correctly, or installed properly?
I think this would be an amazing tool to have out in the field. Load up my dwg files (maybe in some kind of batch file that it can be saved as), and use swipe actions to move around to view different sections and areas.
We work with AutoCAD. We create large commercial plants. Many people work on different sections of it to get the whole project done in a timely fashion. But making sure that the construction follows the design is always a challenge. This type of app would help with ensuring proper construction.
But this could also be useful if other file types could be easily added. Kinda like Autodesk’s Navisworks, but for mobile devices.
Anyways, if any of you know if someone has developed this tool, or is developing it, I would be interested in trying it out.
