DustFX not showing in MRQ

Hi everyone, i’m having a scene with 3 different effects in them. the snow and the thrusters are showing up fine, but i have a dust effect that should come up when the door is opening. It wasn’t visible in the sequencer at first but i got that to work, only now when i rendered it, it doesnt show up there, only on the last couple of frames it pops up. I’ve set up a blank scene with just the dust effect and rendered that, then it is showing. I’m guessing it has to do with the door in front but i can’t figure out how to solve it just yet. Hope there is someone who might have some good tips on this, please let me know!

For anyone interested, i already got some help shortly after posting this. What made the difference for my scene was that i had to increase the bounds of the effect, add a ’ collision’ setting to my particle system and in there check off the ’ kill occluded particles ’ . i increased the amount of particles just a little bit and started the life cycle of the system a second or 2 later in the sequence so that when it would show up there was still plenty of dust blowing up.
