I’m using landscape splines to displace the landscape to create field like rectangular areas. I just use two spline points for that, and I’m wondering if it’s possible to duplicate these splines?
Ctrl + click on landscape is too slow as a workflow because I have to set the desired width and falloff values every time I create a new spline, instead I would just like to duplicate the existing spline that has the correct properties set.
First create your spline path with all of the points you want then with one of the splines selected, hit the Control Points button. This will select all the control points of your spline at which point when you adjust the values for falloff, width etc it will be applied to the entire spline and not just one control point.
Sorry that no one else answered this question sooner.
Yes, I know that. I was asking if it is possible to duplicate whole splines.
Or alternatively, is it possible to select the control points of multiple splines?
Apologies, I misunderstood your question. No, its not possible to duplicate landscape splines. Blueprint splines can often be useful but obviously not in your case since you’re actually using them to displace the landscape. However there is a landscape copy tool that will allow you to copy and paste sections of the landscape if you’re looking to have several places with the same features. That would be your best bet in this case. Use the spline to distort the landscape and then use the copy tool to copy those features to another area. https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Landscape/Editing/Gizmos/index.html
