Duplicated categories in FAB Marketplace make asset discovery a mess

There are currently TWO overlapping asset categories that are named exactly the same but contain different assets. Please, re-think taxonomy and fix it!

We have category 3d > Environments: Fab
and we have category Environments: Fab

This is EXTREMELY frustrating for 3d scene makers - where should we put our scenes?

For the even higher frustration level - we have also “Buildings and Architecture” category which ALSO contains 3d scenes.

I think that this mess is frustrating both for sellers and users and makes asset discovery MUCH harder when it comes to 3d scenes / interiors. What do you plan to do with it?

And can we count that you will allow us to post assets in two categories which I suggested months ago?

Anyone from Epic could share a thought about this?

Hey there @dr_after!

Thank you for taking the time to reach out on the forums and provide this feedback. I’ve passed this along to the appropriate team.

Thanks!

Please pass this to the FAB team for consideration

Currently, 90% of characters are uncategorized further, because “Characters” are already a subcategory of “3D”.
Please move “Characters” out of “3D” to a separate category where assets are forced to be in subcategories.
