My other stuff!

Armoury is a Sci-fi themed modular weapon generator for Unreal Engine. Includes a Weapon Crafting system and a bunch of carefully taylored meshes and materials inspired in Sci fi films, games and notable concept artists like Alex Senechal, that can be mix and matched to get an unlimited supply of different weapons and skins. Using the powerful Material Layer System, you can customize and create new skins for these meshes. With a strong modular design, with each new update, you'll get new meshes, materials and animations to work with, based on weapon categories like Handguns, SMGs, Shotguns, or accesories like sights, foldstocks, magazines, etc..

Armoury V3 presents few notable upgrades with new meshes and materials. It's free for current owners!

Key points:

  • Update V3: Weapon Crafting system: Customize your weapon and generate a single skeletal mesh.

  • Update V3: Added shotgun kit including a new sight and shells

  • Modular design: Combining different parts and materials, you can create thousands of variations.

  • Includes a FPS Handgun animation basic set.

  • Thanks to the material layer system, every weapon created holds a stunning detail even on dramatic closeups.

  • All parts are rigged and includes a procedural control rig for create animations if needed.

  • With each update, libraries of materials, meshes, and animations continue to expand.

  • Updates are free, forever!

V3 works only in UE 5.6 upwards. Geometry Script and Skeletal Merging plugins must be enabled to work with this update. Those are included in UE 5.6

Combine this update with Magic Merge plugin to reduce material sections, bake textures and even export in FBX along baked textures to other engines. Take a look at the documentation!

Hello. I really like this asset. I noticed that Unreal Engine includes a Mutable plugin for generating dynamic skeletal meshes, materials, and textures either in the editor or at runtime. I believe this plugin is perfect for your asset, as it reduces the complexity of the current blueprint and makes it easier to add new weapon parts meshes in the future.

I’m currently exploring this custom framework but encountering challenges during implementation. I was wondering if you have any plans to integrate Mutable support in the future?

Hi! Thank you so much for your question. Currently, mutable doesn’t support arbitrary skeletons. The mutable sample project includes a weapon kit but every piece use the same skeleton. This is somewhat limiting as you need to restrict the ratios to be similar. Also I tried to reuse the texture baking process but it failed to work (crashed every time) with the layered materials. I’ll keep looking for potential mutable upgrades to see if I can fit in on the workflow.

And sorry about the delay :frowning: - I somewhat missed the notify email.
