I have use this software, let me know how to create a DTM. ??
Hi Yosa
When you have a reconstructed model + texture generated, go to the RECONSTRUCTION ribbon and use the ORTHO PROJECTION tool, set proper parameters and calculate ORTHO. When it is generated, you can export ORTHO, DSM and DTM.
hi Wishgranter
i have generate using it, and it produce tiff
it just produce DSM, how to produce DTM?
I open it using global mapper 15
can u give me advice, what the best program to open this file

Hi Yosa
Can you better describe what do you need to get as a result and what do you need to do with it later?
Are you experienced with GIS data?
Hi Yosa
You can export the ORTHO (2D) image and then the DSM (2D image with DEPTH information) easily.
Or if you need an actual 3D model (TIN), then you need to export it as an OBJ (with texture) or as a PLY with vertices color without texture.
Hello, thanks for your reply again.
The thing is, i do able to export ortho, dsm, and also 3d model.
Right now, i would like to do DTM (Digital Terrain Model)
For example, in agi****, i do able to perform classification between ground, tree, and building, thus allowing me to export DTM (ground only)
So, is there a possibility to perform DTM by using RC ?
Thanks in advance
Hi Yosa
No, we have not implemented classification of point clouds and get DTM as a result.
But still, from RC you can export point clouds and use some good software like CloudComapre and its plugins to get the DTM there.
RC can give you much more details so that you can work with the PCD classification more easily.
