Dscover what static mesh is used for a selected Foliage?

In foliage mode, I have selected a piece of foliage.
How do I discover what static mesh the foliage is from? Nothing changes on the foliage panel when a single foliage is selected. (I have seen some threads that suggest making a blueprint tool, but this did not work as this foliage does not have collision and so cannot be line traced.)

Conversely, old features like being able to select a mesh in the foliage panel would select all the meshes in the level - this no longer works.
Hiding the type of mesh one at a time in the panel no longer works

Try the All button next to the select button. You can even select the foliage inside the picker first and then see if it matches that way.

I don’t use the foliage tool due to how terrible it is. Try looking up Procedural Foliage Spawner (PFS) instead.
You start by creating a new Static Mesh Foliage and adding your model into it and naming it. Make one for each model. There are many settings to play with to make the foliage spawning the way you want it.
Then you create the PFS and add each static mesh foliage into it.
Drop the PFS onto your map, scale it up using the numbers, and scroll down the settings and hit Resimulate
