Drop Games is hiring engineering roles (REMOTE)

Description:
We’re Drop Games, a group of industry vets working on a brand new cross-platform/cross-play fighting game.
We’re making a push for open beta, coming soon, and we’re looking for talented engineers to help us deliver a polished experience to the market.

Talent Required:

Software Engineer - Infrastructure/DevOps

Responsibilities

  • Take charge and develop backend infrastructure features from start to finish
  • Utilize an internal and external feedback loop while developing core features of our products
  • Work and collaborate with a remote team
  • Create measurable success, be self-directed, and manage your own workload

Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent analytic, trouble-shooting, communication skillsets
  • Deep understanding of Computer Science/Information Technology concepts
  • Capacity to plan, architect, develop and deploy production-ready infrastructure supporting millions of concurrently connected users
  • Experience with a variety of programming languages for development task automation, generating reports, and creating tools (C#, C++, Python, Node, Go)
  • Experience in developing and optimizing REST services
  • Familiarity with NoSQL and SQL database concepts
  • Experience developing a large codebase using version control systems like git
  • Understanding of CLI processes and command-line scripting(Bash/Batch/Shell)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with our tech-stack: ASP.NET Core, AWS Gamelift, AWS Serverless(Lambda, DynamoDB, S3…)
  • Experience with container tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Linux​

Software Engineer - UE4 (Gameplay Programmer)

Responsibilities

  • Take charge and develop game features/updates from start to finish
  • Utilize an internal and external feedback loop while developing core features of our products
  • Work on a completely remote team
  • Create measurable success, be self-directed, and manage your own workload

Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent analytic, trouble-shooting, communication skillsets
  • Deep understanding of Computer Science/Information Technology concepts
  • Extensive programming knowledge of C++
  • Extensive experience using Unreal Engine 4 and Blueprint
  • Excellent optimization, profiling, and debugging skills
  • Experience developing a large codebase using version control systems like git

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with high-volume distributed systems
  • Experience with AWS Gamelift
  • Experience with AWS Lambda and Serverless technologies
