Currently there is basically two vehicle tags, one called Driver* Simulator: Hard Difficulty and one called Racing.
The name of the driving tag alone is really bad almost like it is just a testing version, this is forcing a lot of vehicle maps to use the racing tag even when they are not racing maps.
One major effect I have noticed this having is that the Driving tag is in a stalemate where no new maps will do well in that tag, it is heavily recommended not to use this tag as you will not “test” well in this tag no matter what.
The tags name needs to be fixed but that is not going to fix things, it won’t make it more inclusive, It is obvious it only does well for a set few maps as they are “grandfathered in” at this point.
The “Driving Simulator: Hard Difficulty” tag itself should be abolished at this point and replaced with 2-3 tags that make more sense.
Fore example, These would be a good start:
“Driving” (this is NOT the current name of the tag, the official name is ‘Driver Simulator: Hard Difficulty’)
“Vehicles”
“Vehicle Combat”
This would alleviate some concerns that “Racing” map makers have too, as as said most Racing maps are not racing maps half the time. This could be further helped with some more tags like for example:
“Vehicle Ramps”
“Ramp Jumps”
I understand wanting to keep things filtered but the current Driving tag is very bad, it is terribly excluding and forcing a lot of issues to the Racing tag. And the Racing tag is literally just Ramp maps in discovery. Some attention needs to be put here.
