If i try to drop some asset (to content window, to import it) i must do like 5 attempts… i see for example “disabled” cursor (crossed circle) etc, or the editor is like busy, or just ignoring my attempt. in UE 4.4.3 was no problems.
edit: I see now, that it is like “lagged” that means it responds slower, so before i drop asset, i have to wait like 2-3s to make the editor catch it. (before it was instantly)
now i am thinking, that may be is the problem that my project is too large, like 14 GB. i am not sure.
Have you seen this same behavior in a new project? Also, are you pulling assets into the scene from the content browser or from outside the project into the content browser?
As you drag an asset into the editor you have to pass the cursor over parts of the editor where it is impossible to drop the asset into place (such as passing over the viewport). If the cursor moves quickly enough it will not update the mouse position and continue to display the circle with the line through it even in the content browser. However once the mouse is moved again it should update the position and allow the asset to be dropped into place in the content browser.
Hi . You are right, thx, but i must say, that the previous version of UE didnt have this problem, so something had to change. But i will try move not over the scene then.
I have also noticed this. I used to be able to drag and drop with no pause. The pause I have to do isn’t big but it’s a nuisance, especially knowing how quickly it COULD work, given how quickly it used to work
