Is this a bug as I can not access the full window, even by right clicking on the taskbar it will not allow me to resize it to access the full window.
No, the import prompt has a fixed size.
ok is there any way to get around it perhaps?.
No, not one that is exposed to the end user. You’d need to dig inside Slate or whichever plugin handles that.
But why?
It won’t let me import animation’s, I assume because of the issue I speak of.
You’re unable to import animations because you cannot have the import prompt displayed full screen? And how does it manifest?
- what exactly is preventing you from doing what you need done?
- how would full screen fix that?
- which part of the UI is misbehaving?
- is there a part of UI that you think is not showing up?
In that screenshot you already see everything this window has to offer.
If you are importing animations you should select a skeleton that the animations belong to.
The skeleton should be imported first,so when you import animations you can choose it.
The reset to default button I can not access
thats the only thing I can not do that the tutorial said to do hence why I assume its the problem.
as you most likely established I’m new to this but I have watched a lot an non have the window as big as mine, possibly my settings are to blame.
Yes I have the skeleton an have selected it before importing as stated in the tutorial.
Sorry in the pic I showed it shows the window is off the top of the screen I can move it down but once done it will not allow me to move it back in order to import without having to reset/exit it, then I’m back to square one
yes
Oh, I get it now.
-
this window should always appear centred in the middle of the screen - does it not do it for you?
-
what is your screen resolution?
-
are you using scaling in the OS?
It is on its recommended but mine is 150 not 100
d.a.m.n if I scale down to 100 fine print becomes no print
You could play with this:
See if that helps. If you have another monitor, you could try it there. This behaviour is unfortunate, sadly.
do you mean disable it?
If you’re desperate, I’d try everything.
If you have a secondary screen, you could try undocking the Content Browser:
Place it on that screen, and drag & drop (or import) assets there.
No secondary screen unfortunately I will try the rescale and reset first and see if that works before I waste on a new monitor.
Appreciate all the help mate
