Please create a downlad option for Unreal that neither requires to download the “Launcher” (with is unavaliable for systems other then Windows) , nor to compile it from the sources (GitHub).
This is important aspecially for Linux users
alternatively you can use the non official “epic asset manager”.
you can get the engines and assets.

Hey folks. Just in the process of setting up UE on my desktop Mac, I’ve download it via the Epic Launcer etc, but its giving me this instruction which I can’t process. Any help would be brilliant thanks. ‘Can’t find Xcode install for Metal compiler. Please install Xcode and run Xcode.app to accept license or ensure active developer directory is set to current Xcode installation using xcode-select’
your post probably will get better answers if you start a new topic. but i would run “xcode-select” on a command line.
