Downhill Slide (Apex Legends Powerslide) in UE5 Tutorial

I’ve been following this tutorial video on how to make a slide mechanic like Apex Legends and Fortnite.
The first person blueprint template from UE5 seems completely different than the UE4 template used in the video. I don’t see the “event begin play” node in BP_FristPersonCharacter to connect the sprint mechanic.

Comment if you know more.

Hello PeteParkour, thank you for posting and welcome to the community.

I apologize for the late response.
In general, you can find functions in the search box to the left of your blueprint.

You can obtain a ‘Begin Play’ node by right clicking anywhere on your blueprint and searching for “Begin Play” or holding your [P] key and left clicking anywhere on your blueprint (if you do not already have one in the blueprint.)

I hope this helps.

This plugin will make your game look exactly like third-person Apex Legend’s Slide, haha

Most people don’t have 80 bucks for a few basic movements and the slide. Should be less than 10.
