Don't know which reference to set, there is an error in the current setup.

I was watching a slightly old tutorial and doing everything as the tutorial guy does, but he has a pre-build setup that I don’t, so not everything is exacly the same. There is a problem,I don’t think he will answer so I am asking you helpfull fellows.

This is Actor Component’s.

And this is the character’s. Pretty simple yes.

imageAnd this is the current error.

In long term (not with this nodesets only) my aim is get arms and head of the character partially ragdoll, with physical animations. Only these nodesets, should have get me fully ragdolling the whole character.

And this is the tutorial in the question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46NfgXlnCzM

What must be the current problem with my setup?

Get owner is often used to get a reference to the parent from a child actor component. It might also work from an actor component ( not at a machine ).

If it’s unhappy, are you call it from inside an actor?

I thing, if I understand the logic correctly, I am geting a reference from the parent to the child here. I don’t understand what is wrong.

How can I get this working?

you’re using the wrong node.

Use the one with Target is Actor Component.

Always a good idea to keep ‘context sensitive’ on

It is unrelated but, why when I set pelvis in bone name it is also ragdolling upper body (with the lower body), but when I set a different bone (I only tried upperarm) it is only affecting what is supposed to affect?
