Don´t run ./UE4Editor in linux

I download source code and use without problem ./Setup.sh, ./GenerateProjectFiles and make without problem, but at run time ./UE4Editor does not load

Hi Thegamerninja. I notice that you are building Unreal Engine in /root, so probably as the root user, but the documentation says you shouldn’t do that. Also in your log there in an error about failing to use Pulseaudio that seems related.

Try logging in as a normal user instead of root. If you don’t want to rebuild all of UE you may be able to simply copy the /root/Unreal directory into your normal user’s home directory:

(as root)

cp -a /root/Unreal /home/yournormaluser/

chown -R yournormaluser:yournormaluser /home/yournormaluser/Unreal
