Hi how can i implement Dolby Atmos plugin for Unreal Engine 5.8.1?
Dolby only have Dolby Atmos Plugin for up to UE 5.4.
I cant find any tutorial, need help please.
Short answer, you can’t. Microsoft has made some changes to the codecs in the newer versions of Windows. Even the existing plugin for UE5.4 doesn’t work on my computer (Windows 25H2).
I read that FMOD is supposed to support Dolby Atmos as well, but I haven’t tested it any further.
What is FMOD?
Fmod is a third party app to implement audio in your game. Can’t say how useful it is, it’s been ages since I tested it.

So the regular Dolby Atmos Plugin from Dolby is not more supported?
It is no longer supported, I believe this is due to licensing issues. When I open a new project with the existing plugin version in UE 5.4.4, the editor crashes while starting up.
