Does Unreal Engine work better on Windows 10 or 11?

I’m about to get a new PC for game development and I want to make sure it works well with Unreal Engine 5.5. Should I install Windows 10 or 11? I should mention that I do Not have an older project that I would be transferring over.

It seems that the recommended specs (even for the latest UE version) are Windows 10, but I did notice somewhere that “Windows 11 is compatible with UE5 and fits in the recommended specs.” I also know that Microsoft will stop providing support for Windows 10 in less than a year, specifically on October 14 2025, so that’s something else to consider.

Since I’ll be using this PC for other things as well, installing version 11 would (or at least should) provide an overall smoother experience. However, the primary purpose of this PC will be for Unreal Engine game development.

Why is Windows 10 still recommended? Is it perhaps due to better backwards compatibility with existing features? Does the UE perform better on Widows 10? Are there any known major issues on Windows 11?

Thank you.

Windows 10 or 11 does not affect Unreal Performance, you can choose any.
Documentation does say Windows 10 because they are not Updated.

Although I have not faced any Problem with Windows 11 in Unreal but there are Tons of OS Bugs in Windows 11 itself and I wish I could go back to windows 10 but there is no Future.
Although Windows 11 is not that Horrible still Usable with little Inconvenience here and there.
Besides that there won’t be any difference in Performance.
