Does UEFN allow us to create Niagara effects as the same as UE Vanilla?

Hello,

I have been working on testing UEFN, but I am not sure what kind of limitation UEFN has.
So, I would like to know if there is a differences between Vanilla and UEFN’s Niagara effects.

Thanks

Hi PillBug,

I’m not aware of any limitations on Niagara.

For your Materials that you’re using to drive Niagara, you cannot write custom expressions.

not being able to run custom hlsl in materials means some of the material nodes you can find in unreal are missing, like texture bombing.
you also can’t drive niagara parameters from outside like in unreal afaik.

Hello @Astrotronic @laggyluk

I usually do not write HLSL directly anyway

Thank you for the help!
