The HDD where my vault was stored crashed. Seagate graciously ran some data-recovery before sending me a replacement. From what I can see, the VaultCache is now 1.55TB, when it was before 2.2TB, the last time I checked. There’s a ton of “$$FolderXXXXX” too, but I don’t think it’s worth the effort to try and recover them, since it’s only “cached data”.
So, my question is, in case of the assets that are still in VaultCache, will the Unreal Launcher at least validate that the local content match the “expected” content, or will I just en-up with missing assets if some files in sub-folders were lost?
Even better would be if I could explicitly trigger a validation, without having to create a project using the cached assets.
