Does place of birth affect Epic MegaJam eligibility, or only residency?

Hi,

I’d like to join a team as a sound designer for the next Epic MegaJam and want to clear up an eligibility question before we register.

My situation:

  • Citizenship: Ukraine (passport issued in Kherson)
  • Legal residence: Latvia (EU), valid residence permit, renewed annually
  • Place of birth printed in passport: Sevastopol

I have no residence, address, bank account or IP presence in Crimea.

As I read the Official Rules, eligibility is based on where a participant legally resides, not on place of birth. Could someone confirm that? Specifically:

  1. Does a place of birth in a restricted region disqualify an otherwise eligible participant?
  2. Would it cause any problem at the prize verification / fulfilment stage - for me or for the whole team?

I’d rather know now than have the team find out after the jam. Thanks!
