Does Mutable with groom work in 5.5.4 currently?

Hi I have created basic character with mutable plugin and turned on “Groom extensions for mutable” plugin as and I got it to sort of look ok in mutable (the collision isn’t working but at least i see the hair).

I am loading my groom in mutable like this:

But when I use load it into game level I don’t see any hair :frowning:

I was wondering if that’s because mutable + groom is still too new and in development stage?

Try zooming in and out on your character in the level to see if there’s an issue with lods. Also select the character instance in the level and in the details make sure a groom component has been added (should be name GroomComponent_0 and be tagged with Mutable).

no matter how i zoomed in or out, I don’t see any hair on my model :frowning:

I also don’t see any mutable instance when i run. I see my 3rd person blue (highlighted below) but there’s no child component there:

After selecting the character, like you have in you screenshot, look at the Details to see all the components attached to your character.

There’s no groom component there but it’s same in my character blueprint:

Do you attach the groom outside of the mutable/customizable skeletal component?

For people that has this problem, we need to set the state to HEAD for it to show up (even if u set it on the instance):
