As an indie developer who only uses Blueprint and never wants to lay hands on any real code, this is a very critical question to ask.
I’m aware that most of this is under NDA but I assume what I’m asking is outside of that realm. To give an example and make things clear.
Would the process look like this:
- Get Dev-Kit by Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo
- Get in contact with Epic Games to receive “special” version of Unreal Engine with console publishing options enabled
- Get platform specific Blueprint based plugins and subsystems to access the full feature-set of the selected console platform
Would really appreciate anyone with experience to give me a clear answer on this because if it’s all C++. I see no other way than hiring a programmer to help me port my game when the time comes.
