Does blender rig complexity effect in game performance?

I’m wondering if setting up multiple layers of tweaker bones, copy constraints, and IK’s in Blender and creating a complex control rig to create the animations with will effect in-game performance in Unreal? Or will these animations ultimately be baked onto one set of bones and therefore using multiple layers of control bones within blender doesn’t matter?

I just bought a course for setting up these complex rigs within blender that handle a lot of the bone constraints and make animating a lot easier, but then I thought about game performance.

What is the industry standard? I’m making a 3rd person online multiplayer shooter with some complex AI and alien characters with weird movements.
