I’ve tried this too many times so I can’t upload all the photos. Anyway, I’m experiencing the issue shown in the picture above.
I’ve created nearly 10 different forearm meshes with skeletal to test the ML deforming and tried training with numerous settings, but I always end up with results full of hideous gray visual artifacts.
Those gray patches seem to me like backfaces, but strangely, they always quite follow the shape of the Alembic.
This issue was the same whether the mesh had fewer than 1k or more than 10k, and it persisted regardless of increasing the number of training iterations, adjusting various advanced training options, or changing the import settings or materials for Alembic and FBX.
I feel like I’ve spent almost a month on this issue. While I can’t say my hardware performance is exceptional, I think it’s hard to conclude that’s the cause since the same issue occurs with all low-poly meshes.
I’ve searched through many posts and forums, but I couldn’t find any issues similar to mine.
If anyone knows about this problem, please help me out.
