I have a bunch of questions about horror engine so sorry in advance.
- I’m having trouble making my own menu and understanding how to get certain things to only happen in certain levels like with the menu I want to turn disable all inputs and HUD but the only way I can do that is to mess with the horror engine blueprint itself and it carried over to my first playable level.
- When I was playing the intro I saw the mechanic where you pick up the valve and have to put it on the handle to use it and open the door, I tried to replicate it and was unsuccessful. It seemed to me that the only thing that was different with mine and the original was this tag that made the original valve disappear as soon as you begin. I tried to apply the tag but it didn’t work for some reason.
- Do I have to place a portal to transition from level to level or is there another way?
Also if anyone knows how to trigger a jumpscare animation and lock it to the player camera to create an effect like Fnaf or Poppy Playtime I would very much appreciate the info.
