Dodge Roll Montage - character flies forward faster/further off of edges than supposed to


I have a dodge roll montage with root motion - everything works fine but when I go off of a cliff or a platform he goes flying forward too faster/too much forward - almost like it launches him forward.

Anyone got any tips? I feel like its gotta do with the character movement in the character blueprints

Once a character leaves the ground, it is no longer in walking mode. It goes into Falling mode. Check your air friction and flight movement details. Sounds like the velocity is scaled up once you switch movement states.
