I can launch without the montage, but when i play it the launch wont work! why?
It’s sad no one suggested this, but what fixed it for me was using animations (in the montage) without ROOT MOTION enabled. Apparently this messes up Launch Character for some reason 
I’m leaving this message here (although almost 5 years later) hoping I’d find it if I ever forget about this. I spent 3 hours figuring this out
