We are running a long-term preservation system for research data for our university. Now we have received a dataset that also contains files in uasset format. For long-term preservation, it is very important that all file formats are documented so that they can be interpreted even many years from now, when the software may no longer exist.
As I have seen, the question for a documentation of the file format was already asked here in the forum several times in the past years and always rejected, with the reference that the appropriate code should be used. However, this does not help in our case. Therefore I dare to make a new attempt: Is there a chance that there will be a public documentation for the uasset format, so that these files can also prepared for long-term preservation?
