Is there a Docker, VMWare, or Amazon AWS image for building Unreal? I’ve tried downloading the source from git and building it, for branch origin/release. But every time, if fails somewhere, and it is impossible to track down and resolve. If Unreal had a known good image that could build the binary, that would be very helpful.

In general, if you stick with the most recent LTS version of Ubuntu, either inside a VM, container, chroot, or reasonably clean system, it should work fine. If it does not work on the most recent Ubuntu LTS, then it is worth reporting a bug or submitting a github pull request to help fix it.
