Hi ,

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to answer as many points as I can.

First, regarding fixes:

-A number of Path Tracer improvements are on the way, including an updated denoiser which should reduce flickering in videos, support for additional features such as decals, height fog, and better atmospheric rendering. Some other Path Tracer limitations will take extra time before they can be supported, such as the updated water materials for transparency in Path Tracer.

-Reflection improvements are coming to improve overall reflection quality.

-For the other issues, I recommend submitting individual bug reports for each one with examples of these issues so that we can ensure that these bugs are known or log them if they are not currently known issues.

For the new requests:

-Lumen integration is being explored, but it is too early at this time to say anything definitively

-Render elements are a planned feature, but will be a long-term development goal due

-For photo-matching, a camera transform panel will be added soon that will allow precise camera placement similar to the current transform panel for scene objects. There are also improvements planned for Datasmith that should allow for the import of camera views.

-Additional regional vegetation packs are currently under consideration. Please vote on the roadmap entries for these packs so the team is aware of the desire to see these added soon: USA, Europe, Oceania, Africa and Tropical, Various

-A road tool is also under consideration. Please vote on the roadmap entry to help indicate how important the feature would be to see added.

-Improvements to the video editor are planned and will allow you to update the ambiance settings (lighting, weather, etc.) for entire video parts at once instead of needing to edit per keyframe.

-There are three furniture packs being worked on, including 2 kitchen furniture packs and 1 bedroom furniture pack totaling 111 new assets.

For your other new feature requests, please submit these feature requests on our roadmap here with additional details on exactly what you would like to see, and our developers can review them and see if these would be possible for future updates.

Best,

Raghib

Hi Raghib,

Let me respond to this briefly:

1. Path tracer: I'm glad that improvements are underway (I've read), but I don't see that water support is among them.

Until then, we wait patiently, because the Path tracer in its current form is not suitable for video production.

2. I read about the reflection improvements that they are being prepared, I am happy about it.

3. Lumen integration would be very important. A lot of users are waiting for this engine to be included in TM.

4. Regarding photo-matching: Precise camera placements are important, but they are far from photo-matching!

Photo-matching means: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8-cqX6Ho5Y

Watch it all the way through, don't confuse what it's all about.....

5. I know that the regional vegetation packs are currently under consideration. Just this sad one, it was still in progress not long ago. And yes, I wrote it in the roadmap.

6. Road tool: I know, and I did 2 years ago.

7. Furniture: there is still a lot of furniture available, but you just can't put them in the same room because they don't match! Furniture families are needed for all types of rooms

8. The other requests: also sent a long time ago, no result

Thanks for your feedback and for the clarifications.

I understand that some it is frustrating to see some features that are taking a long time to be implemented, and some that have been submitted to the roadmap a long time ago not appearing to have any progress. While the team would love to add as much functionality as possible to Twinmotion, a lot of this comes down to balancing priorities between the highest demanded features and improvements with the ones that can be implemented in the most reasonable amount of time. Your feedback is definitely being taken into consideration. The team is just trying to strike the right balance between all of the feedback we receive to improve Twinmotion most effectively.

Best,

Raghib

Have to say its sad to read this. So many essential features which have been requested for aeons, such as Render Elements are still sorely lacking. I wish Twinmotion would read the room and see the huge amount of demand for its 'nearly' product and charge some actual money for it, expand the team, and get things done. Hell, its not like Epic is even short of a buck. It's just disappointing, every new year to see so little relative progress being made for the demand thats waiting. So many other promising 3D apps have been in this position and blown it as customers eventually walk away to those who can satisfy their needs.
