Hi,
I’ve just recently got into Creating Games so all new to this But i recently been using Unity 3D and found out about Playmaker visual scripting tool with already built in Codes just have to connect nodes and such, Is blueprint like Playmaker? Or can you download already built in codes and tweek as you like?
Or is it best to learn about Coding? I have a disability (called dyspraxia) which sometimes makes me learn things Slower / Bad memory. i’ve learn t Some things about Coding from university using software called Pure Data (Mainly for audio) But it’s a different language from C++.
I’d love to make Simple games, Zombie fps or what not wouldn’t want to make a RGP/MMO. I really like the idea if putting my thoughts / ideas into a game.
Thanks,
You dont need any programming experience when you want to use blueprints -> it’s super easy and you can create entire games with them
welcome:)
I am not a coder but even I can make things with blueprints, you should check out KitatusStudios free books https://forums.unrealengine/showthread.php?10221-BOOK-Blueprints-Master-the-Art-of-Unreal-Engine-4-Blueprints
However, you ***need ***to know how a program works or your Blueprints may end up as an absurd mess because you have no experience with program flow.
The best way to learn how to keep game performance is by breaking it thought…
I learned that during the use of blueprint -> I had no experience with coding, but know I even started with C++ (much easier when you have experiene with blueprints)
Thanks for the quick Reply guys! So no coding experience needed… it’s first time using Unreal Engine 4 i’ll be sure to check the books out, It look’s very different from unity 3D in a good way, Loving Unreal engine 4 already.
Also make sure to take a look at the official tutorials: https://www.youtube/user/UnrealDevelopmentKit/playlists
