Do SoundCue's have a larger performance hit then playing a single sound?

Do SoundCue’s that play 4-8 sounds simultaneously have a larger performance hit then playing a single sound? For example, instead of creating the sound in a Soundcue, I could record that sound and import back in as a single wav. Would that save me much performance cost in environments like Mobile Platform? Or not worth the time?

each individual wave in a sound cue and/or instance of wave equals a channel. So 4 waves in a cue being mixed == 4 channels.

If you can pre mix the sounds into a single wave you won’t use additional channels, but the wave file size may be larger than all 4 sounds as separate files.
