Hi there!
I posted a question in different forum, maybe here is the right place to ask.
I have physics based rod and little cube, which is connected to the rod with Physics constraint (with limited linear limits). All works while the cube hangs in the air. But as soon as the cube touches anything the rod behaves like physics is switching off on the cube.
The only explaination I have is that the nature of interaction between cube and ground is not physycal. Is it so? I tried many different settings, but the problem persists, 6 month have been trying already. Maybe it’s a bug?

Can you maybe describe what it is you expect vs what it is that happens - or better, provide a video.
In the end, I doubt you’ll want to use engine physics or even physX for a fishing rod’s bait/hook/sinker.
At best, you probably want to launch the bait out with some sort of physics, and let it stop simulating on water impact so you can start to reel in, apply drift, apply custom water wave, etc.
